Matt Canute is the tech lead at the Digital Democracies Institute at Simon Fraser University. He provides technical and data management support for the various research streams. With a background in data-intensive systems, his research interests involve mapping the influence of online cultures, while also critically examining the high-level summaries or narratives that typically accompany such analysis/compression techniques.
