Houman Saberi
Houman Saberi works across digital justice, data privacy, and community engagement and partnership building. He currently serves as a consultant on the Permission Slip app, a product of Innovation Lab at Consumer Reports that is designed to give users control of their privacy rights.
Previously, he was director at Community Technology New York (CTNY) as well as a deputy director of the Resilient Communities project for RISE:NYC. In these roles, he oversaw the build-out of training programs, data tools, and decentralized, community-built internet infrastructure in partnership with local businesses, civic organizations, and residents.
Prior to this, Saberi worked on international development funded projects based in Washington, DC, Egypt, and Indonesia, and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco where he engaged in rural health education and infrastructure projects.
Saberi served as an External Evaluator for the 2024–2026 Just Tech Fellowship.
