David Adelman, PhD, is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Digital Accessible Futures lab at the University of Michigan, through the DISCO Network, and is an affiliated faculty member in the Digital Studies Institute at the University of Michigan. His research centers the ideological and material manifestations of disability in culture and technology, with a particular emphasis on disability and/as desire. His work has appeared in First Monday, and is forthcoming in RACAR: A Journal of the Art Association of Canada, and elsewhere.
