Gender Equality, AI and the Future of Human Rights,
This article examines the contributions of Rebecca Cook to the field of women’s rights and gender equality through international human rights law. It situates Cook’s work within the contemporary debates on international human rights as a principal frame for regulating artificial intelligence. In doing so, it highlights both the potential and limitations of human rights law in addressing gender equality issues in this new milieu. Ultimately, the article suggests that it is possible for human rights to be reimagined in order to respond to the various challenges posed by new technologies.
