Platform Mobilities explores the transformation of labour and reproduction, infrastructures and landscapes, mobility and migration under conditions of automation. The conference marks the final step of the research project ‘Digitalisation of Labour and Migration’. The project investigates the reorganisation and reproduction of labour through digital platforms and emergent forms and practices of labour migration.
The event discusses our findings and conceptualisations, connects with other research projects and ventures by colleagues with whom we have been in contact on the research trail. A range of topics are addressed, including logistics, computational infrastructures, geopolitics, automation and artificial intelligence.
The 2-day-event on July 7 & 8 consists of two parts: Day 1 features an online workshop open to participants from all over the world. Day 2 will be held as an offline conference day at Humboldt University of Berlin.
